How important are plants in our life? How can they save our planet and help us to grow healthier? During this weeks we are investigating plants: their characteristics, parts, importance and some tails about them.
We listened to the story "Jack and the beanstalk" and make some crafts in order to retell the story. Here you can find some pictures:
Link above and you will find the classic "Jack and the beanstalk" to read along with your kid. I hope you like ithttp://www.britishcouncil.org/kids-stories-beanstalk-popup.htm

Look what we have found!!
Science class is always exciting for my kids, but this term is special because we are learning about insects. In our first class we play with many cards to identify insect's names and learn them. After that we took a walk around the school to find some insects. Look what we have found!!
We were able to catch lots of snails and ants. One fly could not resist the capture :S Here you can see our snails:
We are also learning the fingerplay "The Eeency Weency Spider". Look at the video below:
Fieldtrip to "El Arriero"
In August we had a great experience in our second fieldtrip. This time we went to "El Arriero" farm, forty minutes far from Lima.
Children were very happy feeding all kind of farm animals: the bunnies, the cow, the pigs, the horse, etc. But the most exciting experience was to take care of the young animals.
They also planted some seeds and simulated the harvest time. I'm sure this was an unforgettable day for them. They learn a lot and have fun at the same time.
